Who won the parking raffle and details for the Swim-a-Thon/photos on 6/29

    Canterbury Crocs,

On Friday, June 29th we will have our team and individual photos and also our Swim-a-Thon to benefit VCU Massey Cancer Center. (Our rain date is Monday, July 2nd)

We will begin lining up for the team photo promptly at 8:00 AM.

If you have work or camps, you may arrive as early as 7:45 to do an individual photo.  And after the team photo, we will complete the individual photos.

Following photos, we'll hold our annual Swim-a-Thon.

In summary, it's lots of fun and swimming, snacks, and raising money for a great cause.  Here's last year's video:

Honoring a special swimmer and survivor

Our very own teammate, Jack Becker, is in his third year of treatment for Stage 4 lymphoma of the kidneys. Jack is a rising fourth grader at Gayton, and has two siblings, his twin Ellie and Landon (age 7) who also swim for the Crocs.  When you see Jack's smile and his determination, it's almost enough to make you forget all that he's been through.  But don't be fooled--Jack has bravely endured multiple rounds of chemo, dozens of spinal taps, transfusions, and long treatment days.  We are grateful to get to honor Jack's courage and resilience.

So who won the parking raffle?

Thank you for all those who purchased raffle tickets.  We raised $160 to get our fundraising effort off to a great start! Three lucky families will enjoy a reserved, front row parking spot at our home meets:

6/20 Twin Hickory meet- The Coleman family

6/27 Church Run meet - The George family

7/17 Burkwood meet - The Emory family

    Thank you,

    Denise Lombardi & Joey McPhail
