Open to ALL swimmers aged 18 and younger, the Canterbury Crocs has one goal: to engage our swimmers in a summer season that is FUN, FAIR, and FAST!
To accomplish that goal:
- Our coaches will help to teach our swimmers the four basic strokes as well as starts and turns.
- Our practices will be a mixture of stroke development and "fun twists" on training drills to keep our swimmers engaged.
- Our coaches will focus on the characteristics of good sportsmanship and teamwork.
- Our coaches and swim team board will partner together to host events "outside" of practice.
The only requirement of our team is that each swimmer must be able to do a full lap unassisted. They CANNOT grab the lane line, grab the wall or touch the bottom to do so. We will use the first two weeks of practice to allow the swimmers to get comfortable in the water. Our evaluations will be on Wednesday, June 1st and Thursday, June 2nd. NOTE: These evaluations will occur as a normal course of practice, the swimmers will not be aware and should not be nervous. Should our coaches have any concerns, they will speak with the swimmer’s parents about next steps.
**Online registration opens at 7PM on Sunday, April 24**
Our excitement for the summer and the opportunities it holds for FUN, FAIR, and FAST swimming is contagious and we hope you share it!
Go Crocs!
