Good evening Canterbury Swim Team,

Below are the Meet Buddy assignments for the season. The coaching staff did their best to match people based on a variety of factors to help foster new friendships between teammates and are looking forward to seeing the results!

I would like to thank all the older swimmers who volunteered to be a Meet Buddy this season. Due to an overwhelming response from our youngest swimmers, we needed more older swimmers to sign up and several stepped forward to help. We really appreciate it!

Even with the additional support, we still needed to pair multiple little kids to older swimmers; however, I don’t foresee this negatively impacting the program (several older swimmers were excited about having “Meet Buddy Families” at practice yesterday).

While the first meet is Saturday, we will officially kick off the Meet Buddy program during the Ice Cream Party on June 17^th. All Meet Buddies are highly encouraged to attend for our introductory Meet Buddy activities and initial task. In the meantime, Meet Buddies are encouraged to ask the coaches to point out their Meet Buddies at practice or during the meet on Saturday and introduce themselves.
