Congratulations to finishing another year of school! Now that school is officially out, we’re kicking swim team into high gear now with a very busy week!

Before I go any further, please make sure you have:

Reminder! Starting Monday, we shift to our summer practice schedule, which can be found here.

Important upcoming events:

• June 17^th – Ice Cream Social/Party (5:30 - 7:00 pm)
  • Build your own ice cream sundae to celebrate the start of summer!
  • Open to the entire team but there will be a special Meet Buddy introductory event
  • Afternoon practice will be modified:
    • 4:00 - 4:45 pm >>> 10 and under
    • 4:45 – 5:30 pm >>> 11 and older
• June 19^th – Meet at Hungary Creek
  • Kids will receive their events at practice Wednesday morning
  • Meet Theme: Canterbury spirit wear
• June 20^th – Fun Practice: Water polo, Noodles, and Donuts in the morning!
  • Afternoon practice will also get donuts!
• June 21^st – NEW: NOVA Butterfly Stroke Clinic!
  • Three coaches from NOVA will be coming to practice Friday morning to work with our ten and unders on butterfly for all skill levels. This is a great opportunity for swimmers to receive professional stroke instruction!
• June 21^st – Coach Mary’s last practice ☹ She is headed to school early!
• June 22^nd – Starts & Turns Stroke Clinic with the Canterbury Coaches 😊
  • Sign up goes live Tuesday at 7pm
• June 24^th – Coach Lizzie’s first official practice!
• June 24^th – Spirit Night at Chipotle (4:00 - 8:00 pm)
  • Come enjoy some good food with your favorite coaches and teammates!
  • 50% of all proceeds will go to the Central Virginia Food Bank
  • Afternoon practice will be modified for the Spirit Night:
    • 4:00 - 4:45 pm >>> 10 and under
    • 4:45 – 5:30 pm >>> 11 and older
    • The Coaches will be eating at Chipotle at 6:00!
• June 26^th – Home Meet vs. Ashland
  • Meet Theme: Neon
  • Food Drive Theme: Boys vs. Girls
• June 28^th – Swim-a-thon and Team picture (7:45 – 11:00 am)
  • Swimmers should start fundraising!
  • Be prepared for a very exciting morning full of prizes, games, and swimming!
• June 30^th – Butterfly Stroke Clinic with the Canterbury Coaches 😊
