We are all looking forward to tonight’s swim meet. A couple of notes going into tonight: 

• There is a good chance for thunderstorms in our area tonight. As stated in previous email the team will need to leave the pool deck for a minimum of 30 minutes with any sighting of lightening or upon hearing thunder. The BEST way for us to communicate with families is through the Rained Out texting system. You may create a free account by going to www.rainedout.net and searching Canterbury Swim Team (zip code 23238) and subscribing. 
  
• If the meet is postponed we will communicate that info to you via email. 
  
• While we have no formal Covid restrictions at this meet we ask that everyone continue to be mindful of social distancing and respect each other’s comfort level. Masks are not required but you are welcome to wear if you desire. We will spread out the chairs a bit more since it is only Canterbury at this meet. You may want to bring your own chairs. 
  
• THERE WILL BE DOUGHNUTS AT TOMORROWS PRACTICE!! We will not have ribbons ready since we will need to have Burkwood’s results before determining places.   
  
• When your swimmer arrives please check in at the table walking into the pool to receive your card with your events. 
  
• Bring plenty of water!! It’s going to be hot! Concessions will be open and Papa John’s will sell individual pizzas. 
  
• I know there are still questions about the rest of the season. I will send out an email tomorrow addressing those. The next meet at Hungary Creek is on 6/17 which is a Thursday and is different than originally listed.
