Crocs –

This week’s meet will be dedicated to the memory of Lucia Bremer, a member of our Canterbury family who was taken from us and the world much too soon. The name Lucia means LIGHT. Never has a name more perfectly fit a soul for Lucia brought light to each of us with her bright smile and contagious laugh.

This week we hope to bring LIGHT to each other and bridge the gap between heaven and earth for a few moments. Each swimmer and spectator will be given a green glow stick as they enter the meet. In between the first and second half of the meet there will be a few words of remembrance and then we will break those glow sticks and light the sky GREEN, Lucia’s favorite color. I feel certain that Lucia will feel our wave to her and that we will feel her presence with us. 

Now more so than ever, I am thankful for our Crocs family.
