The Wyndham Tidal Waves welcome Canterbury on Wednesday, July 7.
Location: Our pool is located at 6401 Old Wyndham Drive Glen Allen, VA 23059. Timeline: 

● 4:30 PM First half volunteers check-in 

● 4:30 PM Swimmer check-in in front of WSRC Clubhouse. Please check in before 5:15 PM.
● 5:00 PM Wyndham warm ups 

● 5:25 PM Canterbury Warm Ups 

● 5:30 PM Timer and officials meetings 

● 6:00 PM Meet begins 

Parking: There will be very limited spaces in the parking lot to provide space for spectators to set up outside the pool area. Families will need to drop off or walk all their gear (chairs, tents, bags, food, etc.) from their car to the parking lot. The map below shows the different places to park and/or drop off your gear closer to the pool. Parking is available along the street in the Collinstone neighborhood (in green on the map below) or any other surrounding neighborhood. Please observe the “No Parking” signs along Old Wyndham Drive. Please be conscientious when parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. Please watch for sprinkler heads, do not park on their grass, in front of mailboxes, and do not block entrances to driveways. There are two potential drop off spots shown in yellow with paths to the pool also shown in yellow.

Pool Deck/Seating Areas: Seating for the away team is located on the pool deck except for the roped off areas for the clerk of course and the area behind the blocks. Spectators may also set up outside the pool deck.

Clerk of Course: When an event is called to go to the Clerk of Course or the event number is shown on the board outside the pool house, swimmers should enter the pool deck and walk around the back of the pool and past the pool house to the Clerk of Course area.

Starter: Our starter is on the right side of the pool when standing on the blocks, so your swimmers who are not dive block certified will need an “X” for in-water starts or an “O” for side starts marked on their right shoulders. 

Concessions: We will be selling Papa John’s personal size pizzas, Chick-fil-A, soda, Gatorade, water, and lots of treats. Kona Ice will also be here! Please bring cash. Pizza and Chick-fil-A will be available while supplies last. 

Rain Delays: If there is a sighting of lightning or hearing of thunder, all participants must clear the fenced pool area. Only Parent Reps, Meet Directors, and the Pool Management will meet in the clubhouse to make a decision about the continuation of the meet.
