Welcome returning and new families to the Canterbury Swim Team 2022 Season! We are looking forward to a great season full of fun events, memorable moments, and some great swimming!  We are even bringing back meet buddies this year! We apologize for the length of this email, but there is a lot of information we want to give you, so be sure to read it in its entirety.

Swim Team Registration:

Registration is open until May 22 on the swim team website. Families may register after May 22, but there is a $50 late fee.  If you are interested in your child/children participating in the meet buddies program, you will sign your child/children up at registration.

2022 CRA Swim Team Handbook:

Whether you are a returning swim team family or a new one, we highly encourage you to read the 2022 Canterbury Crocs Swimmer & Parent Handbook. This handbook has a ton of important information and what to expect in regards to participating on the swim team and at swim meets.

Spirit Wear:

The link to order and pay for spirit wear is on the swim team website. Orders must be placed by May 27. Our hope is to be able to provide families with their spirit wear order prior to the first swim meet on June 15.

Practice Schedule:

For the period of May 23-June 17, the practice schedule will be as follows Monday-Thursday:

• ALL First Year swimmers: 4:30 - 5:00
• 10 and under swimmers: 5:00 - 5:45
• 11 - 12 year old swimmers: 5:45 - 6:30
• 13 and older swimmers: 6:30 - 7:15

Beginning Monday, June 20 the practice schedule will be as follows for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings:

• 13 and older swimmers: 8:00 - 8:45
• 11 - 12 year old swimmers: 8:45 - 9:30
• 9 - 10 year old swimmers: 9:30 - 10:15
• 8 and under swimmers: 10:15 - 11:00

The Thursday "Donut Practice" schedule will be as follows (beginning Thursday, June 23):

• 11 and older swimmers: 9:00 - 10:00
• 10 and under swimmers: 10:00 - 11:00

Afternoon practices will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons (beginning Monday, June 20) as follows:

• 8 and under swimmers: 4:00 - 4:30
• 9 - 10 year old swimmers: 4:30 - 5:00
• 11 - 12 year old swimmers: 5:00 - 5:30
• 13 and older swimmers: 5:30 - 6:00

June 15 Canterbury at Hungary Creek

June 22 Canterbury at Burkwood

June 29 Raintree at Canterbury

July 6 Canterbury at Colonies

July 13 Church Run at Canterbury

July 19 Hungary Creek at Canterbury

Champs- July 30 (12 and under), July 31 (13 and over)

Mark Your Calendars for Some Important Dates:

May 22- Meet the Coaches at Canterbury Pool. There will be an ice cream truck for families to purchase ice cream if they choose.  Time will be in the afternoon, but is still to be determined as it is dependent of when we can line up a ice cream truck.  More info to come.

June 9- New Parent Meeting 4:30-5pm at Canterbury Pool during the new swimmer practice.  We will go over what a swim meet is like and what to expect.

June 10- Glow Party 5-9pm at Canterbury Pool. Please register your child and other participating family members on the swim team website and sign up to bring a sweet or salty treat. Treat items cannot be homemade. They must be store bought.

Signing up for Swim Meets:

It is important that you declare your intent for your swimmer/s participation for each swim meet. All swim meets are listed on the swim team website. You declare your intent by clicking the meet entry button for each swim meet.  Declarations must be made by the Friday before each meet.
