Meet 1 Entries, Announcements, and Meet Buddies
June 14th
Good Morning Crocs,
With our first swim meet fast approaching, I have a few announcements and reminders.
Events
- The events are attached below. Please let me know ASAP if you see anything that needs to be changed.
- All relays are tentative and subject to change, please check the relay whiteboard tomorrow at the meet to confirm the relays.
- For 9 and up swimmers please double check with a coach that you are not on a relay if you plan to leave early.
Meet Buddies
- Our introductory meet buddy meet and greet will be today from 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm, in between our mock swim meets.
- Please click here to view the meet buddy pairings, we will help introduce everyone today during the meet and greet and at the swim meet.
- Meet buddies are more than welcome to bring craft supplies such as posters or drawings to make with their meet buddies today, or anything else they would like to do with their buddy!
Practice times for today
4:45 pm – 5:30 pm: ALL 10 and Under Crocs
5:30 pm – 6:00 pm: Meet Buddy Meet and Greet (We ask all meet buddies regardless of age to show up if possible)
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm: ALL 11 and Up Crocs
Dive Rules
- Gral follows the USA swimming dive certification rules for all 10 and under swimmers. The coaches have been working at practice to document everyone’s dive level.
- Some swimmers are only certified to dive off the side, and some swimmers must start in the pool. This is due to safety concerns regarding diving.
- At check in, some swimmers will receive either an “X” or an “O” written on their right arm. This ensures the officials know the swimmer’s dive level. Those will an X will start from inside the pool, and those with an O will start from the side of the pool.
Swim Meet Reminders/Announcements
- The meet theme will be Canterbury Colors (Blue and Green)
- The pool gate opens at 4:30 pm, Warm-ups start at 5:20 pm, and Check-in must be completed by 5:30 pm. Please see the email from Jennifer Eakes for more information regarding the swim meet.
- It is going to be very hot tomorrow so please make sure to bring plenty of water and keep your swimmer (and yourself) hydrated.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns at [email protected].
Go Crocs!
Very Respectfully,
Coach Zach
