Coaches Award – Eleanor Cribbs
“The recipient of this award truly embodies what it means to be a Canterbury swimmer. Not only is this person a very fast swimmer but she does so much more for the team than win a bunch of races. She is more than willing to lend a helping hand no matter what. She helped with practice when we were down a few coaches and she always went above and beyond with her meet buddies. She treated them with so much warmth, compassion, and eagerness. Both meet buddies raved about her and had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. They were both new to Canterbury this year and She truly showed them what it means to be a part of the Canterbury Swim team family. On top of all of this she also helped run our dunk hunger program this year helping raise over 8,000 meals. We could not be happier to share that this year's coaches award goes to Eleanor Cribbs.”
Sportsmanship Award – Eloise Pedraza
“This year's sportsmanship award goes to someone who truly cares about all her teammates and goes above and beyond each day to make her teammates feel special. At swim meets she treats everyone around her, regardless of the team, with absolute kindness and respect. At practice she is always listening and supporting her teammates. Whenever we do relays at practice she is always there cheering on whatever teams are left, even if it’s not hers. And she can always be found with a positive attitude no matter what! This year's sportsmanship award goes to Eloise Pedraza.”
Spirit Award – Reagan Bartlett
“This year's spirit award goes to someone who is always cheering loud and proud for everyone whether it is at practice or a meet. Even if she doesn’t know your name, she will find it out and start chanting it from the top of her lungs! At her very first Canterbury meet she saw that there was a Hungary Creek relay without anyone cheering them on so she stayed back with her relay team to loudly cheer them on while they finished. At all the meets you can easily find her, even if you can’t see her, by hearing her nonstop support for her teammates. This year’s spirit award goes to Reagan Bartlett.”
I am looking forward to a great champs!
GO CROCS!
Very Respectfully,
Coach Zach
