Hi Crocs.  We understand it’s cold and raining and a lot of you have questions about the meet tonight.  GRAL has rules for swim meets that we are required to follow, one of which is that a meet cannot be canceled or moved ahead of starting.  Meets cannot be delayed due to rain unless we cannot see the bottom of the pool.  We have been in constant contact with Hungary Creek to come up with a plan fir tonight that follows GRAL rules and allows for a faster meet. That plan includes cancellation of relays and running the meet in 2 pools. Please see the message below from Hungary Creek for important changes to the meet tonight especially if you are volunteering.  If you need to scratch your swimmer/s for any reason, please let Coach Lauren know asap. If you are volunteering, you are still expected to volunteer or find a replacement to come in your place.  Failure to show up for your volunteer shift results in a $100 fine.  

From Hungary Creek:

In order to have the meet run as quickly as possible, we are running two meets tonight. Relays have been canceled for all age groups. Swimmers ages 9 and older will swim in lap pool as usual. All first half volunteers will report to their positions at lap pool. Simultaneously, 8 and unders will swim in the 4 lanes of the Z pool. All second half workers will report to the Z pool. Clerk of course for all events will be run out of the pavilion behind the diving board. Table and ribbon workers for both halves will report to the clubhouse at start of meet. First half volunteers will focus on 9 and ups, second half will focus on 8 and unders.
