    Meet #6 Recap/End of Season!

    Hey Crocs!

Last night's meet was a speedy one at Burkwood! Sadly we didn't even get a moment before the first event to make our team cheer happen and to celebrate our three green cap winners, but we appreciate the way team was able to be respond quickly for the relays! I feel like this ended up being the theme of our season- FLEXIBILITY!! Thank you for embracing all the changes both good and bad while continue to cheer us through it all! When I look at each swimmer and the success of the team over the season- it couldn't have been as great as it was if it wasn't for all of you! Way to go, Crocs :) Can't wait to celebrate soon between the Banquet next Tuesday and CHAMPS next weekend!

    Green Caps

Green Caps are given at the start of every meet to a few swimmers who the coaches would like to recognize for their performance in practice, sportsmanship, and team spirit throughout the past week. This week the coaches wanted to recognize Carson Reece, Aurora Weeks, and Rose Cimino! If you haven't gotten your cap yet, see me and I will get it to you :)

Carson- Carson has been putting in great work at practice and working on keeping a great mindset with trying new things! He worked on both butterfly and breastroke this week to prepare for his first breastroke swim of the season at the last meet!

Aurora- Aurora has been working super hard at practices and consistently takes feedback with a smile. She is a friend to everyone in the pool and is constantly looking to drop time in any event she swims!

Rose- Rose loves butterfly so much she probably wouldn't mind the nickname of Butterfly Queen. She had a little fall on Monday that could have taken her out of the last meet but she got her knee all bandaged up to showed up to the pool with a smile!

    Coaches Highlights

Coach Lauren – “I have a double shout out for Libby Collier and Gwyneth Hershey for their amazing time drops last night that led to them both qualifying for CHAMPS for the first time this season! I am very excited for you both!"

Coach Eleanor - “My swim of the meet goes to Jordie White for his awesome 25 free! He dropped 6 seconds, didn't flip on his back at all, and won his heat in the last few strokes of the race!"

Coach Savannah - “My swim of the meet goes to Tobin Zebley for his awesome fast swimming in the relay!"

Coach William- "Shout out to Cybil Murchie for getting four first place finishes for the first time, making champs in her 100 fly, and getting a varsity time in her 50 free!"

Coach Emily- "My swim of the meet goes to the 15-18 year old ladies (Ellie Becker, Samantha Lionberger, Cybil Murchie, and Aurora Weeks) who all swim amazing time drops in the 100 fly!"

Coach Kate- "My shout out goes to Dani Hromyak. Because of the frantic start of the meet, she missed her 100 IM head and still stepped up and swam her 100 IM in a boys heat. She stayed positive and swam a best time!"

Congratulations everyone on a great finish to the regular season! You can see the meet results on the meet information on the GRAL website

Pictures from this Season for Banquet!

Last call for pictures to be emailed so that they are included in the Banquet video. Send them to me at [email protected]. Don't forget to come out and celebrate our spectacular summer of accomplishments next Tuesday, July 25 from 6-8pm! See the reminder emails for more information.

    DUNK HUNGER UPDATE

"We are thankful for all the donations made last swim meet (July 12th). We donated a total of 244 cans and boxes that weighed 248lbs (which equivalents to 297.60 meals). We also raised $466 in monetary donations which equal to 1,864 meals. Overall, we raised 2,161.6 meals!! I calculated myself that with the amount of meals we raised, we can help feed exactly 2 people, breakfast, lunch, and dinner for an entire year. If you didn’t donate or forgot to, you can still donate on our team page: https://give.feedmore.org/team/514525. We will keep this up until the banquet (you can always donate on their main page). Feed-More greatly appreciates every donation made and hopes to see everyone next year! Thanks, Josh Zebley “

    CHAMPS Video

I know you all wanted to get pumped up since its Wednesday night- our normal swim meet night so here's our CHAMPS video. Sorry it doesn't include every swimmer or picture provided but we had a 90 second time limit so you'll have to wait for our Banquet video to see more!

    Sincerest THANK YOU

Sorry to extend this email for a few more lines but wanted to say thank you for giving me the warmest welcome as the only new person on deck at Canterbury this summer! I have truly had a wonderful season getting to work with all of you and cheering "GO CROCS" every chance I get at meets. I value each swimmer and parent on this team for your effort to making this summer a memorable one!

    See you at the pool,

    Coach Lauren
