Swim team starts in two weeks!

Swimmers new to Canterbury should attend the new swimmer practice on 5/19 at 4:30pm. All returning swimmers will begin practice on 5/20.

Come by the pool to meet our coaches on 5/19 from 5:30pm to 6:00pm.

We are still in need of two season-long volunteers: a computer rep and a Champs coordinator. Both roles would fulfill your volunteer commitments to the team for this season.

1. Computer rep: This is a critical volunteer role, as we cannot host meets without a computer rep. At home meets, responsible for printing heat sheets, entering meet data, and ensuring the meet data is complete at the conclusion of the meet. The computer rep is provided a swim team laptop and printer and works from the air conditioned guard office. Assistance is provided through “computer assistant” volunteer shifts. You are welcome to step on deck to watch your children swim. This position provides you a parking spot for our home meets. There will be a training on 5/19 at 7pm to prepare for the season.
2. Champs Coordinator: Responsible for working under the GRAL VP of Champs to communicate information with our swimmers, collect registrations for Champs, submit pertinent documents to GRAL, and attend Champs.

If you ordered a silicone swim cap, I will have them available for pick up at practice as soon as they are ready. Latex swim caps will be given to every swimmer during practice.

As we get ready for our first meet on June 4th, don’t forget to mark your swimmers status for each meet!
