DUNK HUNGER - "PIE A COACH" RESULTS
Dear Canterbury Families,
I would like to start by thanking everyone who donated money and canned food on Saturday. When I saw the revised meet entry sheets, I noticed we were going to have 25-30% fewer swimmers participate and decided to adjust our goal. I’m excited to say that we exceeded the revised goal by over 70 pounds so all 5 coaches will be pied at the last home meet! The competition was neck and neck between Coach Emily and Coach Jack, but Emily beat Jack (by $1.60!) and will be pied a second time.
We will hold a raffle at the last home meet to determine who gets to pie the coaches (there will be 6 winners)! The price of a raffle ticket will be $1 or 3 large cans of food.
I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone of our Dunk Hunger Spirit Night at Glory Days Grill this Tuesday, July 11th. Glory Days will donate 10% of food (not including nightly specials) and non-alcoholic beverage purchases (to-go meals are included) to our Dunk Hunger efforts. There is no limit on how much we can earn.
At the end of the meal, please ask your server for a copy of your guest check (not the charge card receipt). We will be at the restaurant that evening to collect receipt copies. A Canterbury Dunk Hunger bin will also be placed at the register.
The 10% donation amount applies to anyone who dines at Glory Days Grill on 7/11 (and provides a copy of their receipt), so please spread the word to your neighbors, friends, and family members!
