Clean up Duty : Anyone willing and able, please stay and help clean up the pool deck area and put chairs/tables back at the end of the meet - more hands make this work quick and easy. All families-before you leave for the night, please check your area for trash, especially in and around the pavilion.
Weather Policy: If there is a sighting of lightening or hearing of thunder, all participants must clear the fenced in pool area and go to their vehicles. The gate fence at the clerk of course end of the pool will be unlocked for exiting the pool in the event of lightening or thunder. Parent Reps, Meet Director, and the Pool Management will meet in the Computer Office to make a decision about the continuation of the meet. Updates will be communicated via the Rained Out text alert system or Facebook. If the meet is postponed, we will most likely reconvene the following evening.
Parking: Please respect all painted handicapped markers and temporary parking markers for visiting coaches and support staff. Overflow parking is available along Covent and Walbrook Roads. Our neighbors are kind enough to tolerate the extra traffic, but we ask that you obey following rules in the neighborhood:
- Please park on one side of the street only (follow "no parking" signs)
- Respect street side lawns and plants
- Do not block driveways, hydrants or walkways. If you thing you think be encroaching on a driveway you probably are and should respectfully consider another parking spot.
- Please pick up trash
- Park at your own risk. Canterbury Recreation Association is not responsible for damage or theft while parked in the neighborhoods near the club. We respectfully ask that you do not park along Pump Road. While you may witness this behavior, you do so at your own risk of being blocked in or ticketed by Henrico County Police, both on and off duty.
A Henrico County police officer will be on Pump Road from 4:30-7:30 to assist with pedestrian traffic.
Volunteer Assignments: If you are signed up to work on Wednesday, you will receive a reminder email from the website. If you are unable to work your assigned shift, please find a replacement and let Colleen Blaszak know of the change at [email protected].
Thank you and GO CROCS!!
