Canterbury Crocs -- 2017 Season Kickoff!
Good Morning, Crocs!
One month from today, our 2017 season kicks off!
I apologize in advance for the length of this email, but I have a lot of information to pass along to you!
Listed below are a few KEY dates for the season:
Wednesday, April 19th – Online Registration OPENS at 7:30PM. Follow the directions outlined below.
Sunday, April 23rd 3:00 – 5:00PM – Registration payment drop off and Team Suit Fitting and Registration payment drop off. NOVA Aquatics, 12207 Gayton Rd. Representatives from the swim shop will be fitting swimmers needing to purchase a new team suit, gogles, or other swim gear. The CRA swim team will receive a 5% rebate on all new team suits purchased that day. If you choose to pay for your swim team registration via cash (exact change only) or check, you may drop off payment at this time.
Sunday, April 30th: Volunteer registration OPENS at 7:00 PM. You must be registered for the 2017 season in order to participate in the volunteer registration. More details to follow.
Sunday, May 7th: Last day to register for swim team with no late fee (late fees kick-in on 5/8, no exceptions).
Sunday, May 7th 2:00 PM: Meet the Coaches and Parents’ Meeting at CRA. All parents and swimmers should plan to attend.
Monday, May 15th- Practice begins! Please see the swim team website for practice times (located on the Practice Schedule drop down menu).
Similar to last year, our team website is your one-stop destination for all things Canterbury Crocs—team announcements, practice schedules, meet info, volunteer information, links to GRAL info, etc.
To register new and returning swimmers, please follow these steps:
1. Go to https://canterbury.swim-team.us/
2. In the upper right hand corner, click on “Online Registration.”
3. You will be taken to the Parent Info. page to begin registration.
4. Complete the Parent Info and Swimmer Info pages: Returning families/swimmers should “Click here if you’ve registered for this team before.” Enter the email address you registered with last summer (you can update it later) to access your records; last year’s information should automatically show up in the fields. Please complete any missing information (new fields may be required). You can also update any of fields as needed.
5. PAYMENT: Fees are the same as last year: $60 per swimmer, with a flat $10 discount for families registering 3 or more swimmers. The discount will show up on the payment page as $50 for your third swimmer. You may pay with PayPal (a small PayPal surcharge will be added) OR you may pay via cash (exact change only) or check. If you choose to pay via cash or check, you can deliver payment April 23rd at our team suit fitting pick up at NOVA Aquatics OR you can mail it to: Lori Hotem, 1805 Stonequarter Road; Richmond, VA 23238
6. Please note: Your registration is NOT complete until payment is received!
7. Once you have completed your registration, you will receive a confirmation email. This email contains the default password to use if you are creating a personal login to the website for the first time. Returning families can log-in using their email address and password from last year. If you cannot remember your password, click “forgot password” to have it reset. A temporary password will be emailed to you.
8. IMPORTANT: If you are registering via a mobile device, please scroll down to the very bottom of the page and click “view full site”. If you have trouble accessing the site or entering information, please try a different device, browser, and/or network. If you continue to have problems, please do not post to the Canterbury Facebook Page, but instead send an email to [email protected]. We will respond to any questions/issues as quickly as possible, but please know that replies may not be immediate.
Should you know of any new swimmers wishing to join the Crocs family, please pass this information along to them!
